The Challenge

In the justice sector, reduced government budgets coupled with increased cost pressures has forced authorities to explore alternatives to custody (such as Electronic Monitoring (EM) of offenders – which is typically a condition of probation that occurs before in lieu of jail or prison time, or parole occurring after release from prison). This is impacting the private prison operators with diminishing returns.

The Client (a global government services contractor) wanted to explore re-entry into the EM market to increase its service offerings in the Justice sector.

ConsultGenics was engaged to evaluate opportunities and business viability in adjacent segments within the Justice sector for potential market entry.
